Dan Walker was named vice president of operations and engineering for ONEOK Distribution Companies in early 2005. In this capacity, he has oversight for operations and engineering activities for all three of ONEOK's distribution companies-Oklahoma Natural Gas, Kansas Gas Service and Texas Gas Service.
Walker joined Oklahoma Natural Gas Company as an engineer trainee in 1976. He worked in jobs of increasing responsibility throughout the state until being named vice president of operations in 1997. He also served in that same capacity for Kansas Gas Service for a few years. In 2001 he was named vice president-Western Region and Operations for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company. That was the position he held until ONEOK Distribution Companies was formed in February 2005 to oversee operations of ONEOK's three utilities.
Walker is active in the American Gas Association and the Southern Gas Association and several other industry groups. He is on the advisory board of Leadership Oklahoma and has served on the board of directors for the Better Business Bureau of Central Oklahoma. He has served on the Youth Services of Tulsa board of directors and as a co-chair of the United Way of Central Oklahoma.
A native of Moore, Oklahoma, Walker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1976. |
