Daniel is a Senior Managing Director of Cliffwater LLC, located in New York. Prior to joining Cliffwater in 2005, Daniel was a Director of BlackRock Financial Management from 2000 to 2004 where he was a senior member of the Fund of Funds team that managed the firm's fund of hedge funds products. Daniel was responsible for hedge fund manager research, focusing on equity oriented strategies, and was part of the investment team that managed the portfolios by establishing strategy allocations and selecting managers. From 1992 to 2000, Daniel was a Vice President and principal of Wilshire Associates where he was a senior consultant working with high profile and complex public funds, corporate plans and endowments/foundations on their investment strategies and implementation. His work included asset/liability studies, investment structure reviews, investment manager searches and performance measurement reviews. Daniel was also involved in Wilshire's fund of funds business, conducting research on hedge funds and developing the public markets manager research process. Daniel earned a BA in Economics and Political Science from Brandeis University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. |
