Daniel Pigeon is Vice-President, Portfolio Strategy & Execution, responsible for the long-term portfolio strategy of TransAlta’s assets.
Prior to this role, Mr. Pigeon was Director, Investor Relations, where he was responsible for communicating the company’s financial and operational performance with analysts and TransAlta’s institutional and retail investors.
Mr. Pigeon joined TransAlta as Director, Financial Operations, Energy Marketing in 1999, and accepted additional responsibilities for Wholesale Marketing in 2000. Immediately prior to joining TransAlta, Mr. Pigeon worked in various general management and finance roles for Emco Limited, Lawson Mardon Group Limited, and Coopers and Lybrand.
Mr. Pigeon received a bachelor of arts in economics and computer science from the University of Western Ontario in 1978. He was granted the designation of Chartered Accountant in 1982 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. He became a CFA charter holder in 2005. |
