Daniel Hartert is CEO of the Imaging Systems business within Philips Medical Systems and a member of the Group Management Committee.
Mr. Hartert held various technical positions with Robert Bosch GmbH and VLSI Technology GmbH in Munich, before joining Bertelsmann AG of Germany in 1992, to become the IT Director of its European music business. In 1995, he moved to New York to become the International CIO of Bertelsmann Music Group, then returned to Germany four years later to fill the position of Bertelsmann CIO and member of the Executive Board of Bertelsmann's Direct Group. In 2001, Mr. Hartert set up an IT business for Bertelsmann offering IT services to the market and, in this capacity, was a member of the Executive Board of Arvato, the Services Division of Bertelsmann.
Daniel Hartert was appointed Chief Information Officer and Head of Corporate IT in April 2002 and member of the Group Management Committee on August 1, 2003. He became CEO of the Imaging Systems business within Philips Medical Systems on May 1, 2007.
Mr. Hartert, who was born in Germany in 1958, graduated in Computer Science and Business Administration. He is married, with three children. |
