Mr. Cowan joined Insituform in 2006 as Special Assistant to the CEO and currently serves as Vice President of Strategic Business Initiatives. In his present role, Mr. Cowan is in charge of international expansion, development and growth. Mr. Cowan holds a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Davidson College and an MBA from Duke University. He has also completed intensive study in Chinese from Georgetown University. Before coming to Insituform, Dan was co-founder, Chairman and CEO of E-Commerce and Trade Services in Hong Kong the largest non-bank international payment insourcing operation. Prior to that, he worked as an international strategy consultant at First Union National Bank based in Hong Kong. There, he helped manage its Global Trade Services division and led its business-to-business strategy task force.
