Daniel Bucca, Ph.D. is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department, where his practice focuses on procuring, enforcing and licensing patent rights and strategic, worldwide patent portfolio counseling with particular emphasis on life science, chemical, pharmaceutical and nanotechnologies. Daniel has experience in managing and handling complex intellectual property matters including litigation, appeals, reexaminations, reissues and interferences.
Previously, Daniel conducted research in government laboratories, the semiconductor and chemical industry. Daniel has published articles in a variety of journals and holds several patents from his research endeavors. His professional associations include the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association and the American Chemical Society.
Daniel received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and a Ph.D. in polymer science.
Daniel is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
