Dan Bernert serves as Vice President, CFO and Retirement Plan Consultant for LJA. He works primarily with small-employer plans (fewer than 150 participants). Focusing on the special needs of employers and their employees, he works very closely with clients to design the optimum retirement plan to fit their objectives while meeting all compliance requirements. His clients span a broad range of industries including, but not limited to, professional services, real estate, health care, manufacturing, financial services and retail.
A frequent author and speaker, Mr. Bernert regularly conducts employee enrollment meetings and presentations to retirement plan advisory committees for his clients. He has also conducted presentations to accounting firms regarding small-plan design issues and opportunities created by new tax legislation and other rule changes.
Mr. Bernert received his B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley. He also received an M.S. in Taxation from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries and the Western Pension & Benefits Conference |
