Joining MB Real Estate as Senior Vice President and member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Mr. Nikitas leads business development activity, including sourcing third-party management and leasing opportunities, tenant representation assignments, and potential equity investments, for MB Real Estate and its clients. During his career in the Chicago real estate market, Mr. Nikitas has completed more than 500 lease transactions for over 4.5 million square feet with landlords and tenants such as General Electric, Met Life, Mellon Bank, AIG, Goldman Sachs & Company, Latham & Watkins, Ameritech, Microsoft Corporation and United Airlines.His leasing accomplishments include Sears Tower, the John Hancock Center, Prudential Plaza, Citigroup Center, 500 West Monroe Street, 77 West Wacker Drive, 131 South Dearborn, the 10, 120 and 300 South Riverside Plaza buildings, and Continental Towers in Rolling Meadows. Prior to joining MB Real Estate, Mr. Nikitas was Executive Vice President of Leasing for Prime Group Realty Trust, where he directed the leasing of approximately 7 million square feet of office space in downtown Chicago and several suburban markets. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Leasing with Shorenstein Realty Services, where he was responsible for the Midwest Region and oversaw the leasing of approximately 4 million square feet of Class A office space in Chicago's Central Business District. Mr. Nikitas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont and prior to a career in real estate played professional basketball in Greece. He is the former President and an advisory board member of the Commercial Real Estate Organization in Chicago and a member of the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association. |
