Mr. Epstein is the chairman of the ConAm Group of Companies. Under his direction, ConAm has grown to be among the top apartment management/ownership firms in the United States. ConAm presently manages approximately 50,000 apartments throughout the United States.
Before founding ConAm Management Corporation in 1975, Mr. Epstein was the executive vice president of American Housing Guild, a residential development firm. Mr. Epstein’s early career included positions with a world-wide construction company working at Cape Kennedy, a general contractor building Pauley Sports Pavilion at UCLA, and an international construction company building a Voice of America radio station in the Philippines. After his early experience, Mr. Epstein joined an apartment developer in Dallas and began his career in real estate development.
Mr. Epstein serves on several boards, including the University of Southern California Board of Trustees, the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate Development, the USC Alumni Association and the USC School of Engineering. He also serves as chairman of the USC advisory committee of the engineering school’s department of industrial and systems engineering. Committed to private sector community involvement, Mr. Epstein is active in numerous civic and charitable activities. He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Scripps College, the San Diego Symphony, and the San Diego U.S. Olympic Training Center. He is also a director of the National Multi Housing Council and the Stevens Cancer Center. Mr. Epstein is a member of the Chief Executives’ Organization and the World Presidents’ Organization.
Mr. Epstein holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Southern California. |
