Daniel H. Melvin is a partner and member of the Health Law Department of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Daniel’s practice is focused on ambulatory clinical joint ventures with physicians, including ambulatory surgical centers, vascular labs, imaging centers, radiation therapy centers, cardiac cath and diagnostic centers, sleep labs and in-office physician diagnostic facilities. He also has substantial experience counseling clients on fraud and abuse, physician self-referral, and Medicare reimbursement issues raised by financial arrangements with physicians.
Program co-chair for McDermott Will & Emery’s 2007 Medical Imaging Symposium, Daniel speaks and writes frequently on clinical joint ventures, medical imaging, and health care regulatory and payment issues. He is co-author of the book, A Guide to Complying with Stark Physician Self-Referral Rules.
