Daniel G. Cohen was elected in December 2006 to serve as RAIT's Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Cohen has served as Taberna’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and has served as a member of Taberna Capital’s investment committee since 2005. He has also served as the Chairman of Cohen Brothers, LLC (doing business as Cohen & Company) and of Alesco Financial Inc. (formerly Alesco Financial Trust) since 2001 and 2006, respectively. Mr. Cohen has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Bancorp, Inc. since 2000, served as Chief Executive Officer for The Bancorp, Inc. from 1999 to 2000 and has served as a member of the board of directors of TRM Corporation, a consumer services company, since 2000 and as its chairman since 2003. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Cohen served as the Chief Operating Officer of Resource America Inc., or Resource America, a publicly traded asset management company with interests in energy, real estate and financial services. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Cohen was a director of Jefferson Bank of Pennsylvania, a commercial bank acquired by Hudson United Bancorp in 1999. |
