Dr. Wittrup is the Company's collaborator at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is J.R. Mares Professor of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering.
Previous appointments have included J.W. Westwater Professor of Chemical Engineering, Biophysics, and Bioengineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was also a Postdoctoral Research Associate of the Yeast Molecular Biology Group at Amgen, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMGN).
Dr. Wittrup has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the J.R. Mares Professorship at MIT, the J.W. Westwater Professorship at UIUC, Fellow of the American Institute of Biomedical Engineers, and Allan P. Colburn Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineering.
He has published nearly 50 scientific papers and is an ad hoc reviewer for many prestigious journals including Nature Biotechnology, Gene, Biochemistry, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He is a frequently invited lecturer to companies such as Chiron, Xoma, Biogen, Dyax, DuPont, and Merck. |
