Mr. Durgin has 31 years experience in mineral exploration and project development in the US, Canada and Mexico with the past 15 years largely in exploration management and mine development. Mr. Durgin has recently been working as a Consulting Geologist, as a Qualified Person under Canadian 43-101 rules, and has written several NI 43-101 technical reports. Previous to this, Mr. Durgin was Chief Geologist in Mexico for Hecla Mining Company.
Mr. Durgin started his career in 1973, as a Geologist for RioAlgom working in the western US and Canada. From 1985 to 1987, he was the Senior Geologist with Newmont Exploration, and from 1988 to 1991, he was the Chief Geologist with Alta Gold and developed the Robinson Mine in Ely, Nevada, identifying over a million ounces of gold reserves. He served as Chief Geologist for Minera Hecla (Hecla Mining Company) from 1993 to 1997, initially involved with the La Choya gold mine startup, developed the geologic model and doubled the reserves.
Mr. Durgin has a B.S. from Dartmouth College and an M.S. Geology from the University of Washington, is conversant in Spanish and a Certified Professional Geologist. |
