Hankey, Five Star’s Business Director of Electronic Materials, has been involved in the management of industrial technology-based and growth-oriented businesses ranging from high-tech start-up operations to core businesses with revenues exceeding $150 million. For the past 6 years he has been the primary partner and founder of Technology Business Development, LLC, a consulting firm in the specialty chemicals sector with a focus on electronic materials. Other assignments have included CEO of Superior MicroPowders, General Manager of Ferro Corporation’s Electronic Materials Division, R&D Director for Heraeus’ Cermalloy Division and member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. Hankey’s areas of expertise include electronic materials and related synthesis, flat panel display materials, photovoltaic materials, advanced ceramics, sensors, specialty powders and chemicals, and materials and processes in the nanotechnology sector. Hankey obtained his undergraduate degree in Materials Science from Wilkes College, an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, and his Ph. D. in Materials Science and Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. |
