Dan Wagner was named Chief Information Officer in March 2002. Mr. Wagner oversees Global Crossing's global information technology function including operations telecommunications development security and technology integration. In addition Mr. Wagner previously served on the board of directors of Global Marine Systems a former unit of Global Crossing.
Most recently Mr. Wagner served as Senior Vice President of our global Real Estate and Vendor Management functions where he led an aggressive plan to restructure Global Crossing's cost models yielding a much stronger recurring business model.
Mr. Wagner has also served as President of Global Crossing Europe and Global Crossing's managing director for the UK where he led an aggressive growth plan to strengthen the company's position as a premier provider of business solutions to the media and entertainment sector financial markets government organizations and multinational corporations.
Mr. Wagner joined Global Crossing as vice president of business integration for North America following its acquisition of Frontier Communications. He also served as vice president of business integration for Europe and held several other key management positions including senior director of finance and integration and vice president of service delivery.
Before joining Global Crossing Mr. Wagner was a management consultant for Andersen Consulting and his own independent firm for several years. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
