Dan Rigney is Senior Vice President of Construction Services of SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners, Inc. Mr. Rigney joined SunAmerica in 1998 and is responsible for all construction activities related to the Partnership's properties including: due diligence document reviews, evaluating the qualifications of developers, contractors and associated design and engineering professionals, plan and specification review, review of all construction budgets, as well as ongoing construction oversight and construction budget and draw reviews. He is additionally responsible for the maintenance and updating of the SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners Design and Construction Guidelines and oversight of the company's environmental risk program. Prior to joining SunAmerica, Mr. Rigney was the Regional Manager of Paragon Homes' Nevada operations, where he successfully managed a turnaround for this southwest regional home building firm. In 1993, he served as the Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Housing Development Corporation, developing LIHTC housing for the County of Los Angeles. Prior to 1993, he was the principal of his own Southern California based homebuilding and development firm. He has developed over 3,500 homes, 2,500 apartment units and over 1,000,000 square feet of industrial space, in the span of his career. Mr. Rigney attended California State University Northridge and is a member of the National Association of Homebuilders as well as a past president of the Los Angeles Region of the Building Industry Association of Southern California.
