Life Before ECC . . . I began life in the world of Insurance in 1981 as a Casualty underwriter for L.W. Biegler. I moved over to the brokerage side in 1983 by joining New Amsterdam Excess, a subsidiary of Fred S. James (remember them?). In 1985 I became one of the founders of Tri-City Brokerage. I spent the next 13 1/2 years as a Director of Tri-City and co-managed the Chicago office. Life at ECC . . . As President, I get to enjoy all the fun! My particular areas of fun include Products and Umbrella Liability, particularly for larger more complex risks. I created ECC to provide Independent Agents with an Independent Wholesaler for their specialized liability needs. Life Outside ECC . . . Married since 1984 to Susan, we have three children - Emma, Conor and Chelsea (get the name of our Company now?) Outside of being a parent, husband and business owner, I enjoy golf, traveling, reading, exercising and volunteering. |
