Dan Quayle served with President George Bush from 1989-1993. Quayle served in the Indiana National Guard from 1969-75 and graduated from Indiana University law school in 1974. The son of a prominent Indiana publishing family, Dan became Associate Publisher and General Manager of the Huntington Herald-Press. In 1976, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, and in 1980, to the Senate. He was reelected in 1986. Quayle is currently working with an investment firm in Phoenix, Arizona, and is the author of Standing Firm, a best-selling memoir. He and his wife, Marilyn, have three children. |
