Dan has over 25 years of financial, operating and sales experience in emerging growth technology and Fortune 50 companies. He has successfully launched and guided financings for both early stage companies and delivered global expansion for established corporations.
Dan comes to McNamee Lawrence & Co. after several years as an executive in venture capital-backed software companies. Prior to MLC, he was the President of Growthstone, Inc., a financial and business development services firm with clients including: Cape Clear Software, a leading provider of Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) product solutions; Greenfuel Technologies Corp., the leading algal solution for biofuels and carbon management; Wavemark Inc., an RFID solution for high-value medical assets; and DomestiCare Solutions, a remote field management software solution. He also advised numerous media companies on their content migration solutions for mobile technology. Previously, Dan held COO and CFO positions with Swift Rivers, Inc., a reverse logistics supply chain software company and with Excelergy Corporation, a billing and customer care software solution for the deregulating energy industry. In each of these companies, Dan’s responsibilities included managing and raising public and private capital.
Dan also commands extensive sales and business development experience. He was Vice President of International Sales for the Cannondale Bicycle Corporation, delivering growth into forty countries worldwide. In the media and communications sector, Dan was Vice President of Sales for First Data’s Call Interactive, a technology service bureau providing interactive digital voice response solutions to the television and entertainment industry. He worked Sports Illustrated magazine and Citibank’s Global Media Finance Group where he supported transactions in Cable, Radio, Television and mobile media.
Dan served as Trustee of the Hotchkiss School and the President of the Hotchkiss Alumni Association from 1991 to 2007. He is a current Class Officer for Yale University where he graduated with a BA in American Studies in 1980. He holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management (’87). He also graduated from Citicorp’s Institute for Global Finance in 1988. Dan holds Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses. Dan lives with his wife and three sons in Belmont, Massachusetts. |
