Dr. Paxton is an experienced executive, consultant, professor and business school dean. He has most recently been President of Organizational Leadership Resource, Inc., a consulting firm focusing on leadership development coaching and business and organization strategy. He has experience working with senior level executives in numerous industries including; oil and gas, plastics, insurance, food service, manufacturing, consumer products, banking, higher education, ski resorts, and 2002 Olympic Winter Games to mention a few. Prior to consulting he had a distinguished 14-year career with PepsiCo, where he moved through numerous Human Resource functions in 4 different divisions leading to the Senior Vice President level. He was responsible for developing strategies, which supported the rapid growth of the business. This included selection, compensation and benefits, training and development, communications, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, employee relations, performance management systems, government relations and public relations that became role models for other PepsiCo divisions. Early in his PepsiCo career he was a Vice President working directly with PepsiCo’s Chairman and Senior Vice President of Human Resources to develop executive succession systems to support the rapid growth of PepsiCo’s worldwide businesses. He conducted executive coaching and behavior change programs for senior level executives.Prior to joining PepsiCo he was a successful professor and assistant dean at Georgetown University School of Business. He was responsible for the Undergraduate School of Business Administration program. He had teaching responsibilities in the areas of Business Strategy, Leadership and Entrepreneurship. He has a Doctor of Education Degree from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in Educational Leadership. He also has a Masters Degree from Utah State University and a Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Utah. |
