Dan and his wife, son, and Dan’s brothers milk 100 Holsteins and produce wheat, corn, soybeans and milo on 4,100 acres. Dan serves as the chairman of the Central Area Council and is on DFA’s Finance and Budget Committee. In his capacity with DFA, he is on the Hiland-Roberts Operating Committee and the Agri-Max Financial Advising Committee. Dan is the chairman of the Health Influences subcommittee of the Cattleman’s Beef Board and a deacon and president of his church. In the past, he served as chairman of the Ethics Committee for the Associated Milk Producers Inc. Southern Region, as past president of the Sedgwick County Farm Bureau Agriculture Association and as a member of the Wichita Agri-Business Council. He is the recipient of the Sedgwick County Farm Bureau Natural Resources Award and the Sedgwick County Farm Bureau Distinguished Service Award. He and his family also have been honored with the Kansas Farm Bureau 4th District Farm Family of the Year Award. |
