Dan Hughes is a Managing Director in Mohr’s Chicago office, bringing over two decades of experience in corporate and government account management, business development, strategic alliances management, sales strategies and operations. His primary responsibilities for Mohr are sales and maintenance of strategic corporate alliances, and brokerage and account management, including lease negotiation, dispositions and acquisitions. Prior to joining Mohr Partners, Dan was an inspector for commercial and residential properties with Windward Builders and HHI, a full service licensed property inspection company serving the needs of commercial and residential real estate buyers and sellers with pre and post-sale property inspections. Before his tenure with HHI, Dan was a Director of Auction Services Sales at Dovebid, Inc., a global asset disposition services provider offering auction and liquidation services to Fortune 4000 companies worldwide. While at Dovebid, he was responsible for generating new revenue through business development as well as negotiating and closing disposition transactions with companies handling surplus capital assets. He was also responsible for managing and directing project managers tasked with the complete life-cycle of the auction process, including marketing / advertising and pre-and post-sale operations and logistics. Dan was Business Development Manager, Strategic Alliances / Storage Services at Comdisco, Inc. before joining Dovebid. Dan established, supported and aggressively grew new corporate partnership programs at the national and regional sales levels, developing, coordinating and implementing planning for storage services product offerings. He expanded divisional sales by 15% and annual revenue by $15-20 million though his creation of a lead generation system database for divisional sales.Before joining Comdisco, Dan was Regional Account Manager - Midwest for over five years with Geosure, L.L.P., a provider of environmental due diligence property reports and historic property use information. He increased new business sales revenue by 15% and existing business by an average of 21% each fiscal year as well as producing 27% of overall company revenue ($11 million) by implementing a variety of managerial approaches. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He is also a licensed property inspector in the State of Illinois. |
