As Senior Vice President for The Harp Group, Dan is responsible for the oversight and management of all stages of development projects from initial due diligence and entitlements through construction and opening. Dan responsibilities also include the structuring of any joint venture relationships and facilitating the resolution of issues that arise with respect to The Harp Group’s joint venture relationships.
Prior to joining The Harp Group, Dan was a member of Equity Residential’s Development Group where he was responsible for structuring all development joint ventures for the company’s portfolio, which, at the time, consisted of approximately $1.8B of pending development projects. Prior to joining Equity Residential’s Development Group, Dan was an attorney in Equity Residential’s in-house Legal Department where his responsibilities included acquisitions, dispositions, and development, as well as certain corporate and tax matters.
Dan is a licensed attorney and spent 7 years in private practice handling complex real estate transactions throughout the United States, most recently in the Real Estate Group of Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman. While in private practice, Dan represented developers and various municipalities in connection with a wide variety of planning, zoning and development issues and also represented lenders, sellers, purchasers and developers in connection with the finance, acquisition, disposition, and development of real estate.
Dan graduated in 1991 with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois. In 1994, Dan received his J.D. from the University of Illinois, where he was also a member of the Law Review. Dan also has a C.P.A. and is a licensed real estate broker. |
