Dale Brown, Vice President of Research and Development, has more than fifteen years experience in the laser-based ophthalmology industry. Prior to OptiMedica, he was Director of Research and Development at Lumenis where he helped the company expand ophthalmic product offerings that focused on diode pumped solid state lasers (DPSS) and integrated laser slit lamps.
Prior to Lumenis, Mr. Brown was engineering manager at HGM Medical Laser Systems (HGM). While in this position, he led a team that designed and introduced several solid state laser systems and accessories for ophthalmology, including photo-disruptors for the treatment of secondary cataracts, DPSS laser systems for treating retinal disorders, and integrated laser slit lamps. In an effort to enhance its ophthalmology business unit, Lumenis acquired HGM in 2001. Mr. Brown received a B.S. in Engineering from Brigham Young University. |
