Daisy East is a senior associate in the Global Project Finance Group based in the London office. She advises both lenders and developers on international project financings, specialising in power and water, petrochemicals and mining and metals. Daisy is also a member of the Islamic Finance Business Unit.
Daisy has worked on a number of major transactions in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia. Her recent mining transactions include advising the lenders (including DFIs and multilateral agencies) on the Luwmana Copper Project in Zambia, the lenders on the Unicem cement plant in Nigeria and the lenders on the Moma Mineral Sands Project in Mozambique. In petrochemicals, she recently advised the sponsors on the development of the Saudi Integrated Petrochemicals Project in Saudi Arabia and the development of the Qatofin petrochemical project in Qatar. In the power and water sector, she recently advised the sponsors in connection with the financing of the Sohar IWPP in Oman and the Al Ezzel IPP in Bahrain.
Daisy obtained her degree in jurisprudence from Oxford University in 1995. She was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1999. Prior to joining Milbank, Daisy worked for Clifford Chance in London, during which time she also worked in Hong Kong and was seconded to to Intergen and to International Power. |
