D. Ry Wagner, PhD, has served as Vice President of Research, Exelixis Plant Sciences since December 2000. Dr. Wagner had previously served as Vice President of Research for Agritope, Inc, now Exelixis Plant Sciences. Prior to his appointment at Agritope, Dr. Wagner was on the faculty of the University of Oregon at the Institute of Molecular Biology, most recently serving as Associate Professor of Biology. He was a post-doctoral fellow with Drs. Jim Peacock and Liz Dennis from 1985 to 1988. He is the author of over 30 research publications related to the discovery and isolation of genes from yeast and flowering plants. Dr. Wagner received his BS degree in Botany and Plant Pathology from Michigan State University in 1978 and his PhD in Genetics from the University of Washington in 1985. |
