Cynthia Shumate, General Counsel and Secretary Cynthia Shumate joined Allozyne as General Counsel and Secretary in January 2008. Prior to joining Allozyne, Ms. Shumate served as Vice President, Legal Affairs, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer at PDL BioPharma, Inc. She Previously served as PDL’s Vice President, Intellectual Property from 2004 to 2006. Before joining PDL, Ms. Shumate served as Senior Director and Associate General Counsel, Intellectual Property at Corixa Corporation. Prior to Corixa, Ms. Shumate was a patent attorney at Cell Therapeutics, Inc. and served as patent attorney at NeoRx Corporation. Ms. Shumate received her J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, and her Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry from Western Washington University at Bellingham. |
