Cynthia Y. Thompson, Mid-America’s Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources, has over 29 years of experience in the human resources field and 11 years of senior management experience. Her responsibilities at Mid-America are primarily Human Resources Strategy and Operations.
Prior to joining Mid-America in May of 2006, Mrs. Thompson led the Human Resources operations in Memphis for SouthTrust Bank before its merger with Wachovia Bank. She also held a similar role at Regions Bank for nearly 20 years.
Currently, Mrs. Thompson serves as the President of the Society for Human Resource Management Memphis Chapter. She also serves on the Concord Academy Board of Trustees and the Christian Brothers University Alumni Board.
Mrs. Thompson holds an MBA as well as a B.S. in Business Administration, both from Christian Brothers University and has taken graduate courses at Rhodes College and Vanderbilt University. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management. |
