Cynthia Kacar was the President and founder of C.I.R.C.A., the Center of Implementation and Research for Corporate Advancement, a consulting firm providing business development, strategic growth and investment banking advisory services to companies in diverse industries, such as enterprise, streaming and wireless technologies, as well as advertising, health care, and pharmaceutical since 1987. She brings 20 years of experience in working with a range of start-up and growth companies in formulating strategic relationships and growth strategies. Key career milestones include assisting CommerceBid, who developed an enterprise forward and reverse procurement auction engine, in taking the company from 6 to 50 people to acquisition by CommerceOne within seven months. Another key milestone was LocalEyes Corporation, who developed a localized search engine technology, as well as, MySpider, a viral collaborative search technology, which allowed user groups and communities to perform tandem Internet searches. As a contractual member of the management team, she assisted LocalEyes with its growth over two years resulting in the company’s acquisition in August of 2000 by TimeWarner AOL. Ms. Kacar was with the management team of one of the initial streaming video companies, where she pioneered sponsored and advertising driven streaming events for major media and entertainment companies, such as Atlantic Records, The House of Blues, The SciFi Channel and Hollywood.com. Ms. Kacar has also worked with the Internet and Wireless Division of Philips as content acquisition and advertising consultant for the new product launch of a wireless media tablet positioned for home use by the consumer mass-market. In this capacity, she forged relationships with media companies, such as Universal, Launch.com and other entertainment companies for the provision of their content on the dashboard page of the media tablet. Degrees held include a Bachelors degree in Biology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, and MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. Directly after receiving her MBA in 1983, Ms. Kacar was a management consultant in the Washington, D.C. area for Pracon Inc., acquired by Reed Elsevier, a consulting firm providing advertising, market research and strategic planning services to the pharmaceutical, medical device, and skin/hair care industries. Prior to her MBA, Ms. Kacar was a Microbiologist and Infection Control specialist working in cancer research at M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston, Texas. |
