Cynthia (Cindy) Szadokierski is United's vice president-Airport Operations O’Hare. She is based at Chicago's O’Hare International Airport, the company’s largest hub.
Named to the position in January 2006, Szadokierski is responsible for all aspects of United’s operations in Chicago, including operational performance, customer processing, baggage handling and ramp operations. Prior to her current position, she served as United's vice president of Corporate Real Estate, where she was responsible for leading planning, engineering and construction efforts for United’s U.S. domestic and international airport and off-airport facilities. She also managed lease and landing-fee obligations for the company.
Before her position in corporate real estate, she served as managing director-United Express and general manager-Washington Dulles International Airport. Szadokierski has worked across the company, holding a variety of positions in reservations, airport operations, sales, human resources and United Express. Before joining United in January 1985, she was a high school French teacher.
Szadokierski holds a master's degree in education, business administration and supervision from James Madison University, and a bachelor's degree in French and education from Randolph Macon College. |
