Curtis Ashmos represents underwriters and corporate issuers on a range of issues, including public and private debt and equity financings, buying and selling businesses and assets, corporation formation and merger, venture capital financing, and SEC and state blue sky registration, reporting and compliance. He has helped form general and limited partnerships, restructure debt and exchange offers, and draft and negotiate complex contracts. He has also represented governmental bodies and underwriters in connection with the issuance of tax exempt obligations. Mr. Ashmos has represented clients before the Texas Securities Board, the Texas Bond Review Board, the Legislative Budget Board, the Texas Racing Commission, and the General Services Commission, and has served as legal counsel on behalf of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the Office of the Governor, the Texas Public Finance Authority, the Texas National Research Laboratory Commission and the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority.
