Curt Gray is Senior Vice President, Human Resources, responsible for all human resources and employment-related activities for the company’s U.S.-based operating groups, which collectively employ some 45,000 employees in the U.S., U.K., Sweden and South Africa and generate annual sales in excess of $10 billion. He brings an impressive record of accomplishments in the aerospace & defense industry to his position. His background encompasses a broad array of businesses including information & communications, commercial airplanes, and both commercial and defense electronics.
Previously, Gray was director of the People organization for the Boeing Company’s Phantom Works, responsible for managing the Human Resources organizations that directly supported the Phantom Works organizations. He also supported the Engineering Process Council and represented Phantom Works on the Company People Process Council.
From 1997 to 2000, Gray was the People director for the Fabrication Division of Boeing Commercial Airplane Group. Other assignments included serving as director of Personnel for the Information & Communications Systems business unit. He moved to that position in May 1997 from Anaheim, California, where he was Human Resources and Administration director for the Autonetics & Missile Systems Division.
From 1995 to 1997, he was responsible for managing human resources functions for Autonetics & Missile Systems. His responsibilities included staffing, compensation, labor/employee relations, organization/human resources development, affirmative action and industrial security, as well as administrative support areas such as reprographics and photography. Between 1991 and 1995, Gray was the Employee/Labor Relations and Staffing director for the Rockwell Telecommunications Division. His responsibilities included staffing, labor relations, safety and security.
Other assignments included serving as the Rockwell Human Resources manager for a start-up location for the company’s Strategic Defense Center. He joined Rockwell in 1983, initially working in staffing, training and employee/labor relations at the company’s Rocky Flats Plant.
Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in personnel administration from the University of Colorado, and an MBA and a master’s degree in organization development from Pepperdine University.
