Curtis Ripley is an associate in Leonard, Street and Deinard’s Business and Commercial Litigation practice group, where he focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and class action defense. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP in Chicago, where he practiced primarily in the area of complex commercial litigation.
Curtis has represented clients in wide range of business and commercial litigation matters, including multi-district securities fraud and antitrust class actions, consumer fraud class actions, matters involving civil RICO, accounting malpractice and breach of contract claims, and corporate and limited liability company shareholder disputes and commercial arbitration proceedings. He also has assisted clients in responding to investigations and inquiries from state, federal and international government regulators.
Curtis is co-author of the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law’s The Franchise and Dealership Termination Handbook (2004), Chapter VIII: Antitrust Claims Arising out of Franchise or Dealership Termination. He also is co-author (with Kevin D. Conneely) of Efficient Strategies for Disclosure and Discovery, presented as part of the National Business Institute’s May 2007 continuing legal education seminar E-Discovery and Computer Forensics: Strategies for Success.
