Curt Gielow serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s Milwaukee office. He brings with him 40+ years of experience, expertise and leadership in business, healthcare management/ consulting, entrepreneurial endeavors and politics. Prior to joining DHR International, Mr. Gielow was President and CEO of Gielow Associates, a national executive search, public policy and lobbying consulting firm, which he founded in 1990. He also founded re-Employ, Inc., an innovative internet-based retiree payrolling service in 2000. Mr. Gielow has also served as Senior Vice President of Genesis HealthCare, Inc., a multi-faceted healthcare management company which encompassed six firms relating to healthcare management, business development, assisted living facilities, mental health and substance abuse services. Mr. Gielow was additionally a partner in the development of Genesis Health Plan (Wisconsin) and Genesis Health Plan (Ohio), both licensed HMO businesses. Early in his career, Mr. Gielow was appointed President of Whittaker International Services Company based in Los Angeles and Washington, DC. and responsible for a worldwide recruiting organization that staffed hospitals in the Middle East. Mr. Gielow was an elected member of the Wisconsin State Legislature for the period 2003-2007. He was named Legislator of the Year 2004-2005 by the Wisconsin Hospital Association and Legislator of the Year 2005-2006 by the Wisconsin Medical Society. Additionally, he was a leader in healthcare reform and chairman of the Assembly Medicaid Reform Committee among other roles. Mr. Gielow holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He has received numerous civic awards and serves on several nonprofit boards. He and his wife Mary reside in Mequon, Wisconsin and have two grown sons. |
