Crystal Dominguez knew that moving to Amarillo would be an easy transition after living in Lubbock as a Red Raider. The panhandle culture has always been very friendly and inviting to her. Crystal joined the Pro News 7 team in September 2007.
Crystal has followed the footsteps of her older sister, Debra Lund, a reporter for the Albuquerque Journal. Journalism has been a part of Crystal's life since she was in high school where she met one of her most influential teachers, Donna Griffin, who to this day has continued to teach Crystal life-lessons.
Through out college, Crystal never thought twice about changing her degree in journalism and is determined to pursue broadcasting the rest of her life. In the next couple years, Crystal plans to shift gears in her career from news to sports. As a fan of the UTEP Miners, Red Raiders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - pursuing sports for Crystal is a win-win situation. Wreck'Em!
As the youngest of six kids, the most difficult part of living in the panhandle (a side from the tornado warnings) is being away from her family in El Paso. Her parents have been the most influential people in her life instilling a profound faith and dedication to God.
Crystal's faith in God and her family's continued support have made the beginning of her dreams possible. |
