Cristine Cioffi has been a member of the Ellis Hospital Board of Trustees since 2006. She is a founding member of the Ellis Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees.
Ms. Cioffi operates a law practice in Niskayuna, focusing on elder law, estate planning, estate tax issues, and estate administration. She is a past president of the Schenectady County Bar Association and has earned numerous awards and distinctions throughout her career, which includes volunteer service with numerous community organizations. Among her accolades: the 2001 “Family Friendly” Award to Carpenter & Cioffi, P.C. from the Capital District Women's Bar Association; the 1999 Business Woman of the Year honor by the Schenectady Business and Professional Women's club; the 1998 YWCA Woman of Achievement award; the 1994 Volunteer of the Year by the Junior League of Schenectady; and the 1993 Joseph A. Flora Award from the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Cioffi earned a bachelor's degree in English from Middlebury College , Middlebury, VT, and a law degree from Albany Law School., Albany, NY . Since 1991, she has written and lectured for various professional and community organizations and the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Cioffi formerly served on the Schenectady County Legislature from 1995-2005, holding the leadership post of Minority Leader for three of her years in office. |
