Dr. Cowles is currently working in patent preparation and prosecution in the biotechnology field. She has experience with both U.S. and foreign patent prosecution.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
In Dr. Cowles' doctoral thesis, "Analysis of Maternal Molecules in the Early Patterning of the Zebrafish Embryo," she examined the influence of localized maternal mRNAs and proteins on axis specification within the zebrafish embryo, and investigated the role of a novel maternally expressed T-box gene, eomesodermin. Her work has been presented at several scientific meetings, and has been published in leading journals in the field of developmental biology. Dr. Cowles has research experience in molecular biology, developmental biology, and biochemistry. |
