Cristian Anastasiu comes to Mergers and Acquisitions naturally. Prior to joining Chapman, he was an operator - as CEO and sales executive, a buyer and a seller of several IT companies ranging from Fortune 100 to middle market. At Chapman, he has sold companies and participated in transactions in industries such as: various software areas including ERP, IT Management, vertical applications for the law and health care industries, VoIP, telecommunications, systems integration, ISP, managed services, IT staffing, as well as high tech manufacturing. Prior experience includes leading the effort to sell BRAIN North America and acquiring and integrating technology companies for Cisco Systems. BRAIN North America was a unit of a global $100,000,000 revenue software provider of ERP and Supply Chain Management solutions. Under Cristian's leadership as CEO and President, BRAIN North America grew its license revenues by 15% a year and recruited new strategic customers while maintaining its profitability under highly competitive conditions. This positioned the company to fetch a premium for its parent company. At Cisco Systems, he was Director of Worldwide Sales Operations. Some of his responsibilities included acquisition integration, global account management and advanced services sales. Prior to that, Cristian was the Sales Manager for Cisco's Financials Services sales operations where he and his team quadrupled sales during a three-year period and built a $100,000,000 sales organization. He received the "Cisco Sales Manager of the Year" award. Cristian has served in various other management positions for high-tech companies like Gupta Technologies and ITT Semiconductors. His experience spans mature companies as well as start-ups in international environments. He is a gifted communicator and problem solver. Cristian holds an MSEE from the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany, and an MBA from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He is a Fulbright Alumnus. |
