Craig Brewer begins his fifth season and sixth year with the Thrashers, and his second as head athletic trainer Brewer, who worked as the team’s assistant athletic trainer for three seasons from 2001-04, is responsible for the treatment of injuries and rehabilitation procedures with the Thrashers, as well as setting up training and conditioning programs to help players stay in peek condition A native of Baltimore, Md., Brewer spent six seasons as the athletic trainer for the Orlando Solar Bears of the former International Hockey League from 1995-2001 Prior to joining Orlando, Brewer served as the trainer for the Dallas Freeze of the Central Hockey League during the 1994-95 season, and for the CHL's Fort Worth Fire in 1993-94 He also served as the trainer for Frankfurt of the World League of American Football during the organization's championship season in 1995, and for the Dallas Texans of the Arena Football League for four seasons from 1989-1992. He served as a student assistant trainer at his alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi, for four years Brewer and his wife, Jill, reside in Suwanee, Ga. |
