Mr. Bjornsund joined NorthMarq Capital in September 2003 when NorthMarq acquired the mortgage banking division of Legg Mason Real Estate Services (LMRES) where he was employed since 1984. He currently serves as Senior Vice President in NorthMarq’s New York City regional office. Mr. Bjornsund’s responsibilities include debt and equity placement for the insurance companies and pension fund investors represented by NorthMarq as well as the development of new clients and financing opportunities. In his 20 plus years in the business, Mr. Bjornsund has had direct involvement in over $5 billion in debt and equity real estate financing and sales. Mr. Bjornsund has also completed many appraisals, and consulting assignments. A licensed Real Estate Broker for 15 years, Mr. Bjornsund is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, and The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE). He has been a guest speaker at New York University, and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations. Mr. Bjornsund holds an Associate Broker License in New York. |
