Craig Alexander holds a Master's degree in economics from the University of Toronto. He has eight years of experience in conducting economic analysis in the financial industry. Prior to joining the private sector, Craig spent four years as an economist at Statistics Canada.
Craig first joined TD Economics in 1996 and spent three years as the department's international economist. After spending two years working as an economist in the brokerage industry, he returned to the department in 2001. In November 2004, Craig was promoted to Vice President and Deputy Chief Economist. In his current role, he travels across Canada, speaking to TD clients and various business groups about economic trends and prospects. He is also frequently quoted by the media on economic issues and writes reports on a wide array of economic and financial subjects. |
