Craig Lyon has over 25 years of experience in a wide variety of healthcare organizations including health plans, medical groups, Independent Practice Associations (IPA), Medical Service Organizations (MSO) and related entities. He has held executive positions including CEO, COO, and numerous other successful interim executive and project assignments. Mr. Lyon has extensive experience in: Project Management including project scope and task planning, resource allocation and time estimation and management, team member selection and assignment, work plan execution, testing and feedback monitoring. Provider Network Development on behalf of payors including managing contract language and rates negotiations with physicians, and multi-specialty groups. Physician Group Practice operations including compensation strategies and methods, billing and AR, facilities, systems and electronic medical records. He has also directed the development of managed care programs in group practice environments including payor negotiation and contracting (risk and non-risk), primary and specialty panel development and selection, contract development, rate setting, selection of third-party administrators and operations. His operational experience extends to include Management Service Organization and Independent Provider Association operations and other service providers including providing payor contracting, provider and panel development as well as claim adjudication, billing and collection activities. In recent years he has served as interim CEO for a medical service organization providing payor contracting, provider panel development for an 80-physician group in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He has also assisted a growing HMO in Sacramento, California with primary and specialty panel development including contract language development. Mr. Lyon has previously held senior positions with organizations such as Sutter Health System (Sacramento, CA), Sutter Medical Foundation, Community HealthTech, Inc., and Memorial-Herman Health System (Houston, TX), Associated Data Systems and The Pace Group, Inc. |
