Craig Dahl is president and chief executive officer of Alaska Pacific Bancshares, Inc., and Alaska Pacific Bank, both headquartered in Juneau, Alaska. Dahl began his banking career in 1973 with The B.M. Behrends Bank in Juneau and was president of the bank at the time of its sale to Key Bank in 1989. He joined Alaska Pacific Bank in 1992, and has been on the Alaska Pacific Bank Board since 1996. The institution, formerly known as Alaska Federal Savings & Loan Association, has served Alaskans since 1935. In 1999, he led it through the process of converting to a stock-owned savings bank. Dahl, who is a graduate of Seattle University, serves on the American Bankers Association Government Relations Council and served for two terms as president of the Alaska Bankers Association. He is currently the assistant district governor for Rotary District 5010 and is the past president of the Glacier Valley Rotary Club. As a member of the Juneau Chamber of Commerce, he is very active in community events and takes seriously the challenge to be a community bank in the diverse geographic area of SE Alaska. He and his family have made Alaska their home for more than 43 years. |
