Craig D. Neeser was appointed senior vice president, Canada, in June 2005 and senior vice president, Industrial Wood Products and International Business Groups, in September 2006. He previously served as vice president of Weyerhaeuser’s B.C. Coastal Group since 2000.
Neeser joined Weyerhaeuser as part of the MacMillan Bloedel merger in 1999. His career with MB started in 1977 as a shift foreman in Chemainus. He was promoted to recovery supervisor and processing superintendent before becoming the mill manager at Harmac in 1983. In 1992 he was appointed vice president, Albernie Region. In 1994 he became senior vice president, Solid Wood Group.
Neeser graduated with a bachelor of science degree in forestry management from the University of Alberta in 1976. He completed the advanced management program at Harvard in 1995, and has completed several other management courses.
Neeser is a director of the Council of Forest Industries of British Columbia and of the Vancouver Aquarium. He is a past chair of the Coast Forest Lumber Association. |
