Courtney handles a wide variety of client work and assists in the firm's copyrighted training courses. She is the editor of the company's monthly "BIMBO" memo which reminds clients and friends of the firm's teachings. ("Bimbo" comments illustrate the danger of repeating and denying a negative word. Named for the young woman who said, "I am not a BIMBO," the short monthly memo is also an example of the firm's teachings about effective, ongoing communication.) Courtney is developing a specialty in the fast-developing area of blogging and serves as the research assistant on Merrie Spaeth's columns for DFW-CEO Magazine. Courtney joined Spaeth Communications after graduating from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, and a Minor in Spanish. During college, she worked for a local public relations firm, building press kits and media lists, pitching stories to local and national media. While in college, Courtney was among a twelve delegate team of students selected to attend the 55th Presidential Inauguration of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney. She was a contributing writer to the SMU "Daily Campus" newspaper and served on the Executive Board of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Courtney, a life-long resident of Southern California now resides in Dallas. |
