Ms. Huizar practices general civil litigation in both state and federal court. Ms. Huizar has experience representing clients in civil litigation involving a broad range of subject matters, including real estate, antitrust, unfair competition, insurance, breach of contract, trade secrets, discrimination law and securities law. Professional Activities Ms. Huizar is a member of the State Bar of California and the Bar Association of San Francisco. Ms. Huizar also serves as a volunteer coach for the San Francisco School of the Arts' mock trial team, which participates in a nationwide competition sponsored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation. Education In 2000, Ms. Huizar graduated, magna cum laude, with a degree in public policy studies from Duke University, where she was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa. In 2003, she graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School, where she was an executive editor of the Stanford Law Review and a semifinalist in the annual Kirkwood Moot Court competition. While at Stanford, Ms. Huizar published the article "Uncertain Justice: Liability of Multinationals Under the Alien Tort Claims Act," 54 STAN. L. REV. 1359 (2002). Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Huizar served as a law clerk for the Honorable Vaughn R. Walker of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. |
