Courtland began his career in Columbus as an advertising executive, eventually becoming the Advertising and Marketing director for a $1billion east coast retail chain. His experience with using Pre-press software and hardware technologies for use in marketing and advertising applications gave him a unique skillset in computer graphics, imaging, and design. His focus on Apple and Graphical User Interface environments gave him invaluable perspectives, which made him a vital resource for Applied Performance, and an important client, CompuServe. Courtland began his career with APT in 1993, as the lead consultant in CompuServe’s WOW program. He managed the connectivity strategies, infrastructure design, and network applications. He also was involved in creating the specifications for the Graphical User Interface changes associated with the new strategies. He used his knowledge of Apple, NT, SUN, Novell, and a myriad of switching, router and hub technologies to successfully launch the product. His ability to quickly assimilate client need information and design creative solutions made him popular with other clients, and Courtland soon found himself in a marketing role at APT where he has played a vital role in the growth of the firm to date. His rapport with both clients and consultants alike make him a valuable resource for the IT community in Central Ohio and elsewhere. Courtland holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Advertising Management from Ohio University. |
