Mr. Krikelis completed two years of military service as a reserves officer in the Greek arm forces attached to the national defense research center and assistant to the Greek representative on NATO telecommunications committees. After returning to the United States in 1965 Costas spent a number of years in research and development of printing and radiographic imaging systems for the Dupont company. In 1975 Mr. Krikelis graduated cum laude in the first graduating class of the newly founded Delaware law School of Widener College and became a patent attorney. Mr. Krikelis remained with Dupont and as a patent attorney in a corporate business unit, he worked closely with the technical staff and its management to develop meaningful patent estates in the United States and abroad in a cost effective manner. While at Dupont, Costas was actively involved in technology acquisition, infringement and validity opinion drafting, as well as patent drafting and prosecution. In 1991, Mr. Krikelis retired from Dupont to enter private practice. Since then, Costas has continued to advise clients on how best to build and exploit their Intellectual Property assets, be it through obtaining patents, licensing, enforcement of Intellectual Property rights, and has helped his clients to identify and avoid potential problems areas.
