Dr. Anagnostopoulos has served as Chair since 2001. He is Managing General Partner of Gateway Venture Partners, and also serves as Chairman of Metaphore Pharmaceuticals and on the boards of a number of other biotechnology companies, including Dyax and Genzyme. Dr. Anagnostopoulos is a retired officer of Monsanto Company, where he also served as Director of R&D, general manager of a number of operating divisions and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Monsanto Europe-Africa. As Head of Monsanto’s New Enterprise Division, he was the architect of Monsanto’s pioneering activities in corporate venture capital and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Monsanto Venture Capital Company. Dr. Anagnostopoulos holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Harvard University and over 20 patents in Organic and Polymer Chemistry. |
