Dr. Ace joined Xylos in 2007. She holds a Ph.D. in biophysical chemistry from the University of California and an MBA in pharmaceutical management from Fairleigh Dickenson University . Dr. Ace has over 25 years of experience in the development and commercialization of medical devices. She is a recognized authority in the area of natural and synthetic biomaterials and holds several patents on novel biomaterials for surgical applications. Prior to joining Xylos, she held positions of increasing responsibility with various Johnson & Johnson companies, including Ethicon, Inc where she most recently managed the Technology Assessment group. Dr. Ace has presented her technical work at numerous conferences including the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Society for Biomaterials (SFB), the Eastern Analytical Symposium ( EAS ) and the Experimental NMR Conference ( ENC ), and is a frequent invited lecturer on biotechnology and biomaterials at various academic institutions. |
